Anesthesiologist: Dr. Jesus Santiago Sanchez

Dr. Jesus Sanchez is an anesthesiologist who possesses over 15 years of general surgery and bariatric experience. Nicknamed, ‘Super Sanchez’, Dr. Jesus Sanchez has made a name for himself in the bariatric industry in Mexico. Dr. Sanchez graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa in Culiacan and is a member of the Mexican Anesthesiologist Federation and Colleges of Tijuana Anesthesiologists. Dr. Santiago is responsible for keeping the patients safe and comfortable during and after weight loss surgery.

Assistant Surgeon: Dr. Eulices Frayre

Dr. Eulices Frayre is a cosmetic and general surgeon who has been working with Dr. Ponce de Leon for years. He started in the bariatrics industry in 2003, splitting his time between general, bariatric and cosmetic surgery. Since then, Dr. Frayre has developed a strong affinity for the weight-loss industry – do his part to rid obesity, one person at a time. Dr. Eulices Frayre graduated from the Centro de Estudios Universitarios Xochicalco medical school and is the medical director at the Belletza Medical Spa in Tijuana. Dr. Eulices also specializes in post-bariatric plastic surgery, since 2012.

Dr. Sergio Verduzco is a medical doctor who specializes in postoperative diet and nutrition. Dr. Verduzco has been working with Dr. Ponce’s staff for over one year now. Dr. Sergio Verduzco recently finished his residency at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara and Regional Military Hospital, after graduating from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in 2013.
